Eternity's Calling
03:21
|
|||
Running down a mountain side as fast as you can go,
wet with dew, cold wind biting,
grab my hand and run with me,
for a moment we'll be free...
Can you feel it? Tis the breath of life!
Can you hear it? Eternity's calling!
Tumbling a wild whirl within the crashing ocean,
push to surface, gasping for breath.
Tossed about in the heaving waves,
in the grip of something greater...
Can you feel it? Tis the breath of life!
Can you hear it? Eternity's calling!
Love, Joy, Hope and Beauty!
Love, Joy, Hope and Beauty!
All around me the music's playing,
songs of birds, cascading river,
the laughter of playing children,
the drumming of rain from heaven!
Can you feel it? Tis the breath of life!
Can you hear it? Eternity's calling!

Stray Notes
03:19
|
|||
1. Deep within us, don’t you always feel the longing for a shelter,
a place that’s secure.
Buffeted by heavy blows and life’s losses
and days that seem empty of truth,
the days that seem empty of truth…
Oh, we’re restless inside,
Oh, we hunger for light,
CH: And we’re all just stray notes,
but the melody of life and love
catches us up in its marvelous tune.
And when I’m on my own, I will never be the harmony
that weaves with your life, helps us all find the place we belong…
2. I look on my life as a journey,
a road winding round mountains and gullies and vast red plains.
But there alongside are the precious ones who walk with me
and in front the one who leads our way,
Out in front the one who leads our way…
Oh, He put the hunger within
Oh, so we’d search to find Him
Cause we’re all just stray notes,
but His melody of life and love
catches us up in its marvelous tune.
And when I’m on my own,
I will never be the harmony that weaves with your life,
Helps us all find the place we belong… we belong.

Nature's Cathedral
03:07
|
|||
In the silent face of rock,
baked red by burning centuries,
there's a stillness that I long to fill my soul, to fill my soul.
No human ever made a cathedral such as this,
gentle wind to soothe my heart, and the vastness
to still my rushing thoughts.
Oh, I want to be a friend of silence,
to know my place in eternity,
to be something beautiful for God.
For centuries these stones have stood,
these tiny flowers have bloomed,
for God's pure pleasure they're growing,
a beauty for His eyes alone.
Oh, I want to be a friend of silence,
to know my place in eternity,
to be something beautiful for God.

Africa
05:24
|
|||
Dark continent, so it is called,
see the scholar run with his pen,
see the TV screen, wars are raging in Africa.
Death is no stranger to this land,
I've seen children shed tears of poverty and starvation
and women wipe away the sweat of desperation.
How many thousands go to the grave,
without a face, without a name.
Then one of the thousand is my friend,
and the tears, they run down my face.
We are brothers, we are sisters,
to the struggle, we are called to give our lives,
not just to look and turn away.
And when my sister cries, so must I,
and all my brother's sufferings are mine
to bear with him, in the love God has given.
And now your suffering is at an end,
and you're with the one who you hoped in,
and I can see tears of joy, they're running down your face...

I run...
04:09
|
|||
Lord my life belongs to you,
I can lay no claim,
for you bought me for yourself,
lifted me from slavery;
made me a servant,
made me a friend,
made me your own...
Lord teach me to trust in you,
to live as a daughter,
instead of a slave, trapped within
a life of guilt and fear,
you've made me a servant,
made me a friend,
made me your own.
And so I run in the paths of your commands,
for you Oh Lord, have set my heart free.
And the path of the righteous, like the first gleam of dawn,
grows ever brighter till the full light of day.
[Psalm 119:32, Prov 4:18]

Living Desert (1)
01:51
|
|||
My roots have grown deep within this place,
Searching for water in the desert, anchoring in the earth,
and there's not much to show on the surface
but anyone who knows, knows,
it's what's inside that matters.
And the red earth has blown around my feet,
and the sun has blistered, and the winds have scattered,
and the long awaited rains have come,
and their gentle falling has kept me alive.
Oh, I'm reaching to the sky,
and I'm losing the beauties I used to hide behind
and I'll wait if I have to wait forever
for my Maker to come, for my Maker to come.
